Nicola

Hi, I’m Nicola. I work part time in the Tuakana room at Riverglade Childcare and am also the Curriculum Lead across our three centres. I have been in the industry since 2014 and became a qualified early childhood teacher in 2016. I have spent my career drawing inspiration from the Reggio Emilia philosophy.

I am passionate about creating learning environments that encourage curiosity, creativity, and exploration, where children are viewed as capable, competent learners.

As Curriculum Lead, I support our teaching teams with curriculum documentation and learning stories, helping to ensure children’s learning is thoughtfully recognised, celebrated, and extended. I enjoy working alongside teachers to strengthen their practice, reflect on children’s learning, and maintain high quality documentation that supports our curriculum and showcases the unique strengths of every child.
