Yali

Kia Ora Whānau,

I am Yali, and I am originally from China. I have been living in New Zealand since 2017. I hold a Level 7 Graduate Diploma in Teaching ECE and am a fully registered and qualified teacher.

Working with children has always been my passion. I am dedicated to supporting children to be who they are and helping them to be confident in their language, identity, and culture. I believe that every child is unique and should be respected as an individual.

I also believe that respectful and reciprocal relationships are crucial when working with tamariki and whānau. These relationships create a strong foundation for learning and development.

I am excited to bring diversity to the centre with my Chinese identity and to share aspects of Chinese culture and language. In my spare time, I love to be with nature, go for walks, or visit the beach.
